Our featured teacher, Mike Sherlock has been a valued member of the Port Perry Artist's Association for the past 3 years. The last two of those years he has held the position of president. During that time, he has helped institute several new programs in their quest to introduce the joys of painting to both new and experienced painters, of all media types in the Port Perry and neighboring areas. Mike has been painting for more than fourteen years and has studied under many of the regions outstanding artist/teachers.

He also participates in workshops and demonstrations whenever his busy schedule allows.His recognizable style has earned him the reputation as one of the notable architectural painters in the GTA. His work is found in private collections throughout Canada, the US and Europe especially his Pen, Ink and Watercolor "House Portraits".

Mike teaches watercolor and drawing skills in Uxbridge and Port Perry offering either group or individual lessons to all level of abilities. He also teaches the specialized topics of Correct Color Mixing and Color Harmony that are so essential to anyone working with color. He is the developer of 'Yes! You Can Draw!" And "Yes! You Can Paint!", training that proves his belief that anyone can draw and paint if they are shown how.
