I have been painting for quite a few years but feel that I am a beginner when it comes to mixing colour. I have your products brochure but where do I begin?
There are several ways in which to make a start.
If you want to master colour. mixing on a practical level, without any theory, I would suggest that you start with a Mixing Palette and ideally at least the set of six principal mixing colours. You should consider adding the other six colours. later. Alternatively our home study course Practical Colour Mixing together with a palette and paints. This will give you a very thorough grounding.
If, at the same time as learning to mix colour., you wished to make a record of your results, the "Colour. Mixing Mini Course" would be a useful addition.
If you are interested in why certain colours. result from mixing, as well as information on transparency etc. the book Blue and Yellow Don't Make Green will answer your needs.
If you are working to a fixed budget I would suggest that you start with the Mixing Palette and add on from there.
